Joanna Clark (00:19)
welcome to my whole personality. This is a comedy podcast hosted by me, Joanna Clark.

This will be a podcast where I talk about the many things that I have turned into my whole personality.

A little bit about me. I'm a comedian. I'm a freelance writer. I live in Chicago
⁓ what else? ⁓

I'm scared of loud noises. I don't like loud noises.

Um, and when I was in kindergarten, somebody threw up on the back of my head. So I don't know what else you need to know.

How this podcast is going to work is every week, I will come on and talk to one of my friends about something that I have recently turned into my whole personality. So business as usual. But then my friends will also share something that they've made their whole personality.

Maybe you'll learn something. Probably not.

I wanted to release this teaser episode just to give you a little taste of what you can expect. I've already had a couple of my friends come on and we've talked about everything from Magic Eye posters to Sex and the City to Muppets Christmas Carol.

I'm really excited for you all to hear these. I've already recorded a couple episodes actually, and it's been kind of educational for me because I've really learned that I breathe really hard and really loud So that's been something that I've learned. And also, I do know that I talk kind of fast. I'm going to work on that. My energy is just kind of naturally like ⁓ a bug trapped in a car. Just kind of like,

That is just kind of how I operate on a day-to-day basis.

So if you like this podcast, please like it on wherever, I don't know, give it stars wherever you listen to them, write a review. ⁓ If you don't like it, me neither, probably. But you can also follow me on Instagram at my whole personality pod.

I also wanted to give a shout out to Rebecca Jaffe. She did my theme music and it's so good. I love it so much. I didn't tell her that people don't like to talk to me at parties, but somehow she knew. So it's just, I love it. She did a great job. So shout out to Rebecca and here's a little teaser and the first episode is coming soon. Okay, bye

I'm gonna be, as you guys probably know, I disgustingly obsessed with King Richard the Third. So I'm gonna talk about him.

Ok for how long?

I don't know.

You know, I guess if you're trying to sculpt teeth out felt? They're gonna look a little weird because there's not many muppets that have teeth.

No muppets have teeth.

Yeah, no, so I think that that was. I think that horse teeth are such a defining feature of horse facial recognition that you have to give them the teeth. But the felt teeth did look

it was horrific.

When did you start- why did you start watching Breaking Amish?

The short answer's like, kinda like, I was sad.

And also keep in mind, I'm not doing full Carrie Bradshaw. I'm just doing pumps. So probably basically the same jeans, pumps, and yeah, and a zip-up track jacket. You know what I mean from Abercrombie? Or I didn't have anything from Abercrombie, Aeropostale. my god.

Just trying to be my most Carrie Bradshaw. But I also think in that way, she did make me a little bit, part of this is just my personality, but she did make me a little bit more insufferable. You know I mean? I do think like, because Carrie is so self-motivated and so self-driven, if you watch Sex and the City for a long time, You absorb this. You realize you're like, I'm talking about myself a lot.

If I'm rewatching Sex and the City, I'm on the phone with my friends being like 40 minutes in being like, anyway, how are you? You know what I mean?

When I think of class. When I think of art. When I think of money, having it. I think of Magic Eye posters.

Your dad's birds did come up quite a bit. Yeah.

Did they? In what respect? I mean, just the history of...

the history and then when you said tthe recent one had passed and I asked how and you said, "I don't know how to say this. He blew out his asshole."

Is that how I described it?

Yeah, you said his butt exploded.

It did kind of explode.

He was pretty old, right?

Yeah, yeah, he was like, I think 20, like five or 26. So that's old for, in bird years, that's really old.

Wow, I'm actually getting increasingly more nervous. You're bringing up some really interesting things from my past. And also, I mean, I have to say it's a little insensitive. You're like, can you talk about that time you bird that you had for 20 years in your family blew its ass hole out?

Are you comfortable talking about it?

I'm like, yeah, no, it's fine. We're here. These questions weren't in the email, I guess.

They weren't in the email.
